Occasionally photos and comments relative to the MHD peninsula will be posted. I have no "agenda", and am not always organized, and neither will this blog be.Posting and social media are low on my priorities. Life is to be lived, not just talked about. Marblehead Photographic Art.

Birds, birds, birds
Again its Autumn, and the blackbirds again descend on Marblehead. Sometimes when they are on the move it can take 15 minutes for all of them to pass overhead. They like to take off and swirl around the sky, sometimes landing back where they started and sometimes moving on to the next group of trees. When I see it, I just drop what I'm doing and watch -- fascinating.

Backyard Feeder
In Ottawa County we have birds. And one can hear the birds because of low environmental noise from things like planes, cars, factories, etc. These are some shots taken the first week we had a feeder in the yard. From never having a feeder, our first Oriole arrived in 20 minutes of setting out the food. Try it.

Migration Time at Magee Marsh
Thousands of Birders again descend on Ottawa County and Magee Marsh. For a short couple week period, major song birds in Spring plumage will move through the county and stop at Magee Marsh on the way. If you stop by, you will see license plates from all over the U.S., very interesting big cameras, sound recording equipment, listening devices, and many very knowledgeable people.
